About this policy
Who we are
Dr. Raman Clinic & Diabetes Centre, C-11, Mansaram Park, Uttam Nagar, New Delhi, Delhi 110059, is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described in this policy — we decide why and how it is processed. Reach us on +91 70119 995455.
What this policy covers
This policy applies to personal data we process in a digital form, or non-digital data later digitised, in connection with this website and the services we provide through it. It does not apply to data you have yourself made publicly available, or to a third-party site you reach through a link from ours.
Which law applies
This policy is issued under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it, together with the Information Technology Act, 2000. Where another Indian law requires more of us, we follow that law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our processing changes or the law does. The current version, with its effective date, is always published on this page. Where a change materially affects how we use your personal data we give you notice, and where it relies on your consent we ask for it again.
What we collect and why
What personal data do we collect
Only what the purpose needs: your name, e-mail and phone number; the content you submit (messages, enquiry details, files); appointment and visit details; transaction details; and technical data such as IP address, browser, pages viewed and timestamps. We do not ask for, and you should not send us, your Aadhaar number, financial credentials or passwords.
Why do we use it
To reply to your enquiry; to provide the service you asked for; to keep the records the law requires; to keep the website and your data secure; to detect and prevent fraud and abuse; and to comply with a lawful order of a competent authority. We do not use your data for automated decision-making, and we do not sell it.
How is consent taken, and how do I withdraw it
Consent is taken by a clear affirmative action — a box that is not pre-selected, or a form submitted with an unchecked consent line — and is limited to the data necessary for the purpose you were told about. You can withdraw it at any time by calling +91 70119 995455. Withdrawal takes effect when we receive it: we stop processing that data and erase it.
Do you use cookies
Yes, for the site to work: a session cookie keeps you signed in, a security cookie protects the forms, and where analytics is enabled a measurement cookie tells us which pages are used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time; blocking the strictly necessary ones will stop signing in and form submission from working.
What about medical information
Any health information you share with us is personal data and is handled under this policy. It is used only for the purpose you shared it for, and it is available only to the staff who need it to provide your care. This website is not a medical record, and it is not an emergency channel.
Who we share it with, and where it is kept
Who do you share my data with
We do not sell it and we do not share it for another organisation's own purposes. We disclose it only to processors acting on our written instructions (hosting, e-mail and messaging, payment processing, analytics, IT support), to our professional advisers under a duty of confidence, to a court or authority where the law requires it, and to a successor entity in a merger.
Is my data transferred outside India
It is stored on servers located in India. Where a processor operates outside India we transfer data only in accordance with the DPDP Act, and never to a country or territory restricted by the Central Government by notification. Our contract with that processor requires it to protect the data to the same standard as this policy.
How long do you keep my data
Only as long as the purpose needs: as long as your engagement with us is active, and for the period required by law afterwards. When the purpose is fulfilled, or you withdraw your consent and no other basis applies, we erase the data and have our processors erase it. Records kept for tax, accounting or a legal claim are kept for the statutory period and then erased.
How do you protect my data
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards having regard to the nature and scale of the data: encrypted transport, hashed credentials, access limited to staff who need it, and logging of administrative access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a breach occurs we notify the Data Protection Board of India and each affected person as the law requires.
Your rights
Can I see the data you hold about me
Yes. You may ask for a summary of the personal data we process about you, the processing activities, and the identity of those we have shared it with. Call +91 70119 995455 or write to us at our address; we may ask you to verify your identity first, so that data is not released to someone else.
Can I correct or delete my data
Yes. You may ask us to correct inaccurate or misleading data, to complete incomplete data, and to erase data that is no longer necessary for its purpose — unless a law requires us to keep it. Contact us on +91 70119 995455. We act within 30 days.
Can someone act for me
Yes. You may nominate a person who may exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity, by writing to us at the clinic address with the nominee's details.
What about a child's data
This site is intended for adults. Where we process the personal data of a child (a person under 18) we do so only with the verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian. We do not track or behaviourally monitor children and we do not direct targeted advertising at them.
Complaints
How do I complain about how my data is handled
Contact our Grievance Officer first — most issues are resolved there. A grievance is acknowledged within 48 hours and resolved within 30 days of receipt.
What if I am not satisfied
You may complain to the Data Protection Board of India in the manner prescribed under the DPDP Act. You are not required to approach us first, but doing so usually resolves the matter faster.

A note on this policy
This policy is published from a standard India clause set and is accurate for a clinic that collects appointment and enquiry data. It should be read by the clinic's own counsel.
